Mike Pinocchio is in his mid-thirties, of medium height and muscular build. His hair is short and dark brown, and his eyes are a rather startling blue. He usually looks scruffy and disheveled, as though he's just been tearing through the brush after or away from something, because usually he has. He's very attached to his gun.

He likes to believe he's a stoic tough guy. This is sometimes true.

Mike comes to the island from the US government-created simulated world of Harsh Realm (from the short-lived television series of the same name), in the year 2000, after stepping through what at first appeared to be your average run-of-the-mill software glitch.
